With the opening of the Monterey Office in January 2016, the firm will expand into the Monterey Peninsula market for Custom Homes, Apartment Rehabilitation, the Hospitality Industry, and Downtown Redevelopment.

For over 40 years, Mark Lee’s experience in architecture and design includes managing a diverse range of projects throughout the state of California. His work includes Mixed Use Architecture, Apartment Rehabilitation, Student Housing, General Land/Master Planning, Country Clubs/Hospitality Architecture, Commercial Architecture, as well as Custom Single Family Homes, Production Housing and Multi-Family Projects.

In 1975, Mark Lee graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a Bachelors of Art in Architecture. He began his career working with Morrison Homes in the San Francisco, Bay Area. He was quickly promoted to Director of Design and would go on to join several prestigious architectural firms with a focus on Community Development, High-End Single Family Custom, Production Housing, Multifamily Residential and Commercial/Recreational Facilities. In addition to this experience, he received his formal Architecture License in 1982.

In 1992, Mark Lee and Dave Jagoe founded Lee • Jagoe Architecture Inc. and began working with The Grupe Company on the Brookside Country Club Community.

Over the next 25 years, the firm developed a reputation for becoming one of the most qualified organizations to focus on development. Lee • Jagoe Architecture coordinated Design Standards and Project Design for numerous, well-known communities in association with several of the nation’s top builders.

Building upon a broad portfolio of experience, Mark Lee continues to expand the firm in new directions including Student Housing, Market Rate Apartments, Senior Apartments, and Infill Urban Podium Midrise Apartments. Lee • Jagoe Architecture has established and continues to develop relationships with clients such as The Grupe Company, Shea Homes, Cresleigh Homes, RPM Corporation, Miramonte Homes, and Lance-Kashian Companies.
