MARK B. LEE, AIA, PRESIDENT

With the opening of the Monterey Office in January 2016, the firm will expand into the Monterey Peninsula market for Custom Homes, Apartment Rehabilitation, the Hospitality Industry, and Downtown Redevelopment.

For over 40 years, Mark Lee’s experience in architecture and design includes managing a diverse range of projects throughout the state of California. His work includes Mixed Use Architecture, Apartment Rehabilitation, Student Housing, General Land/Master Planning, Country Clubs/Hospitality Architecture, Commercial Architecture, as well as Custom Single Family Homes, Production Housing and Multi-Family Projects.

In 1975, Mark Lee graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a Bachelors of Art in Architecture. He began his career working with Morrison Homes in the San Francisco, Bay Area. He was quickly promoted to Director of Design and would go on to join several prestigious architectural firms with a focus on Community Development, High-End Single Family Custom, Production Housing, Multifamily Residential and Commercial/Recreational Facilities. In addition to this experience, he received his formal Architecture License in 1982.

In 1992, Mark Lee and Dave Jagoe founded Lee • Jagoe Architecture Inc. and began working with The Grupe Company on the Brookside Country Club Community.

Over the next 25 years, the firm developed a reputation for becoming one of the most qualified organizations to focus on development. Lee • Jagoe Architecture coordinated Design Standards and Project Design for numerous, well-known communities in association with several of the nation’s top builders.

Building upon a broad portfolio of experience, Mark Lee continues to expand the firm in new directions including Student Housing, Market Rate Apartments, Senior Apartments, and Infill Urban Podium Midrise Apartments. Lee • Jagoe Architecture has established and continues to develop relationships with clients such as The Grupe Company, Shea Homes, Cresleigh Homes, RPM Corporation, Miramonte Homes, and Lance-Kashian Companies.

DAVE E. JAGOE, VICE PRESIDENT

For over 25 years, Dave Jagoe’s experience in architecture includes staff development, project management for custom single-family homes, production housing, apartment rehabilitation, and new apartment development. His expertise ensures product and design development, project adherence, quality control, and cost-effectiveness.

After graduating from North Dakota State University in 1988, Dave Jagoe moved to California and joined one of the most prestigious local architectural firms. He quickly excelled in all aspects of Developmental Architecture. In 1992, Dave Jagoe and Mark Lee founded Lee • Jagoe Architecture Inc. working with The Grupe Company on the Brookside Country Club Community and specializing in the Production Housing Market.

Throughout his experience at Lee • Jagoe Architecture, Dave Jagoe has developed the project management team for production housing, custom housing, and commercial projects. He currently specializes in project coordination with an emphasis on:

• Direct coordination with City Jurisdictions for project initial concept viability, Design Review submittal process, Planning Commission, and City Council approval process.

• Federal, State, and local funding, tax credit application coordination with clients.

• Cal Green, Green Build, and Green Point rating project design and application consultation.

• Project exterior color and material selection and consultation.

• Construction Document plan check and internal review
of all managed and selected projects.

His innate sense of a project’s needs has built company trust and established long term relationships with clients such as The Grupe Company, Legacy Homes, Anderson Homes, Fitzpatrick Homes, Atherton Homes, Stonefield Homes, and Visionary Homes Builders.
